“AC Myles ‘Reconsider Me’ promises to provide some of the most memorable moments of 2014!”
– Tom Hyslop – Blues Revue Magazine/RockMrTom

“‘Reconsider Me’ by AC Myles is an enjoyable CD. The man has a very good voice and he’s a great guitarist. There is much variety in his music.” – Rootstime Belgium

AC Myles albums ‘Reconsider M’ (2014) and ‘Rush to Red’ (2015) group songs that outline his musical development and his maturing into one of the more valid guitarists and vocalists in the blues/rock arena. Stylistically along the lines of a modern day Johnny Winter, Steve Marriot and Elvin Bishop, his albums recorded & produced in San Jose, Ca. by Kid Andersen at his own Greaseland Studio, combine originals and choice covers that tell the roadworthy story of this well-traveled and very talented Californian.

“Blues-rocking guitarist AC Myles is an artist whose musical stock seems to be an arrow pointing straight up. The real deal folks! Dig it!” – Brent Black / www.criticaljazz.com

The song selections on ‘Reconsider Me’ and ‘Rush to Red’ vary from traditional blues to 60’s and 70’s blues-rock overload. Myles also brilliantly displays his songwriting abilities to crossover into southern rock and soul tastes as effortlessly as some larger drawing acts wish to. The self-penned tracks ‘Open Road’ and the tour de force ‘Liviní a Lie’ showcase fierce rock n roll slide guitar and vocal chops, following right in line with Rory Gallagher’s  ‘Do You Read Me’ and Elvin Bishop’s ‘Rock my Soul’. The clever co-written southern rocker ‘Call ’em All Baby’, southern soul original ‘One of These Days’, along with the southern rock anthem ‘Closin’ ’em Down Every Night’, further showcase his musical depth and songwriting. Myles proves his traditional blues/soul styling’s are up to snuff both vocally and on guitar as well with an amazing vocal workout of the title track, Johnny Adams ‘Reconsider Me’, original tracks ‘Every Day & Night’, ‘Move On’ and the Bobby ‘Blue’ Bland classic ‘I Wouldn’t Treat a Dog’ (The Way You Treated Me).

“This album is a stunning piece of work and will put Mr. Myles on your list to see live and to track down his previous releases.” – Bob Bonsey – Blues Matters Magazine UK

Jake Mackey

Jake Macky has all the ingredients for a great musician, Blues, Country, Funk, Hip-Hop/Rap, Latin, Pop, R&B/Soul, Reggae, Rock, Rockin Blues, Ska and World, Zydeco with his huge beats, slick bass, tastey guitar rhythms, and most importantly, SOUL! You are witnessing something special.

Jake Mackey carries on in the tradition of the masters before him, taking cues from guys like Otis Redding, Freddie King, and Johnny Cash. He also brings some serious guitar vocabulary to the table; you’re just as likely to hear him emulate Hendrix as you are likely to see him perform Red Hot Chili Peppers or Sublime tunes. Above all else, he is eternally in touch with the heartbeat of the song. This is reflected in his choice of personnel: Steve Froberg on Bass and Jonathan Lazarus on drums, easily one of the Bay area’s most slamming rhythm sections. Born with a sharp ear, Jake constantly attended his parents’ gigs as a child. By middle school he was sitting in. Today, Jake’s songwriting, to say nothing of his sheer playing ability, is more alive than ever. He is becoming increasingly recognized for his originals, though always loved for his taste in covers. Don’t miss your chance to experience this Bay Area icon. One show and you’ll be hooked.

 AC Myles Bio

Born in California, the only son of production workers, Myles grew up in the migrant worker rurals of the Central California town in which he was raised. Myles spent his later teens and twenties touring with his own band eventually finding his way to the San Francisco Bay Area, playing sideman to a wide array of acts, most notably blues man Fillmore Slim and modern day soul man John Nemeth. Along the way, with a keen ear and sincere passion, AC has become a gifted entertainer and musician. His personal appearances have a ‘take no prisoners’ approach which; along with a healthy dose of humor, usually gets even the toughest audiences on his side.

“Perhaps the only soulful thing to come out of Fresno, AC Myles can play the hell out of a guitar, and he’s growing as a songwriter” – San Jose Metro Editor Steve Palopoli

In addition ‘Reconsider Me’and ‘Rush to Red’ feature tracks by artists Myles has had the opportunity to share stages with in his career, including Roman Carterís blues gem ‘Queen Bee’ and the Fillmore Slim funk arrangement of the Fats Domino R&B classic, ëBlue Mondayí. The self-penned ëDeath Bed Bluesí and ëThree Ways to Fallí, which have darker lyrical output, showcase his grasp and retention of blues traditions, while ‘What is Love’, a cover of Oaklandís blues/mod/soul kings The Loved Ones, is an ode to the region of California that became adopted home territory for Myles and sprouted his
