The San Francisco Bay Area is home to a tremendous variety of music. The DuKanes all met in the South Bay, where there is a particular concentration of talent and support for the blues in all of its forms and extractions. Each band mate brings a special perspective to this cultural mix, which draws from the vast pool we loosely call “Americana,” including a few old favorites, new discoveries, and well-crafted originals. Our objective is not just to make some familiar noise while you order beer. We want more than that. We want nothing less than to engage and enlighten everyone in the room. But don’t worry, you can still scream and shake yer booty as necessary.
