Sunday Brunch Restaurant in Downtown San Jose

10am – 2pm

The Poor House Bistro is San Jose’s Choice Blues & Cajun Food!

There are plenty of Sunday brunch restaurants to choose from in the city of San Jose. Most often they have boring egg dishes and watered-down mimosas. At PBH we really tried to create an atmosphere of fun and excitement. We made sure it cooked its way over to our menu. With choices like our BBQ Shrimp Benedict, Beignets and Jambalaya Scramble, you get something unique and refreshing.

We recently had someone from Tripadvisor submit a review. This is what they had to say: “We’ve been going to the Poor House for years. They have amazing food. The BBQ shrimp is to die for. Jambalaya you won’t believe. And my personal favorite, red beans and rice.
This is right down the street from the Shark Tank (SAP Center) and it can be busy on game night or if someone cool is playing at the Tank. Yes, you wait in line to order the food and pick it up yourself. But it is worth it! They have some really great musicians and the schedule changes all the time. The food is like nothing you will find anywhere else in San Jose. And now they serve Brunch! The mimosas were really great. Just the right balance of bubbly wine and OJ. My husband had the Chicken and Waffles. I had the pecan pancakes. I can’t wait for next Sunday so I can go back and try something else. You won’t be sorry you went.”

Let’s not forget that as you enjoy your Sunday brunch, we will have live music provided by Johnny Fabulous “Piano on the Porch”.
